ODT/PDF Contract from Quote

General description

The “ODT/PDF Contract from Quote” module for Dolibarr automatically generates customized contracts in ODT format (and convertible to PDF) from your commercial proposals (quotes). Starting from a contract template written in your word processor (LibreOffice, MS Word compatible with ODT, etc.), the module merges the quote data and produces a contract ready to be sent or signed, directly attached to the quote card.

User workflow

On the Commercial proposal card, a new block appears in the Attached files area:

• Select an ODT contract template from a drop-down list (e.g. “ODT Contract”)

• Click the “GENERATE” button
  The module automatically retrieves the quote information (third party, contact, dates, references, lines, amounts, etc.), injects it into the ODT template and adds the generated file as an attachment to the proposal (e.g. Contrat_ODT.odt). The document can then be opened, adjusted if necessary, signed or sent to the customer.
  If the ODT → PDF conversion service is configured on your Dolibarr instance, the contract can easily be exported or printed in PDF format.

Contract template configuration

From the ODT/PDF Contract from Quote module configuration page, you can:

• Create one or more contract templates

• Define a title (e.g. “Service contract”, “Maintenance contract”…)

• Upload the corresponding ODT template file

• Manage activation, creation date and template author
  Templates can contain all standard Dolibarr ODT substitution tags (third party, address, contact, dates, net/gross amounts, quote lines, payment terms, etc.), allowing fully pre-filled contracts to be generated from quote data.
